1. Control of scale insect and whitefly
Abamectin·Spironolactone SC is known as the classic formula for controlling scale insects and whitefly. Abamectin mainly has contact and stomach toxicity effect, and has strong permeability to leaves, which can kill pests under the epidermis; spirochete ethyl ester has strong two-way absorption and conduction, which can transmit up and down in plants. It can kill the scale insects in trunk, branch and fruit. The killing effect is pretty good and long lasting. At the early stage of the occurrence of the scale insects, to spray Abamecin·Spironolactone 28%SC 5000~6000 times liquid can effectively kill all kinds of scale insects that harm the fruit trees, also red spider and whitefly can be treated simultaneously and effective period lasts about 50 days.
2. Control of borers
Abamecin·Chlorobenzoyl SC is considered to be the most classic and excellent insecticide formula for controlling borers such as cnaphalocrocis medinalis, ostrinia furnacalis, podborer, peach fruit borer, and other 100 kinds of pests. Abamectin has strong permeability and chlorantraniliprole has good internal absorption. The combination of Abamectin and chlorantraniliprole has good quick effect and long duration. At the initial stage of insect pests, using Abamecin·Chlorobenzoyl 6%SC 450-750ml/ha and diluting with 30kg water to spray evenly can effectively kill bores like corn borer, rice leaf roller, pod borer and so on.
3. Control of Lepidoptera pests
Abamectin·Hexaflumuron is the best formulation to control Lepidoptera pests. Abamectin has good permeability can effectively kill more than 80 Lepidoptera pests such as cotton bollworm, beet armyworm, spodoptera litura, pieris rapae, tobacco budworm, etc. However, abamectin doesn’t kill eggs. As an inhibitor of chitin synthesis, hexaflumuron has high insecticidal and egg killing activities. The combination of them can not only kill insects but also eggs, and it has a longer effective period. Using Abamectin·Hexaflumuron 5%SC 450~600ml/ha and diluting with 30kg water to spray evenly can effectively kill larvae and eggs.
4. Control of red spider
Abamectin has good acaricidal effect and strong permeability, and its control effect on red spider is also very excellent. But its control effect on mite eggs is poor. So abamectin is often combined with pyridaben, diphenylhydrazide, imazethazole, spirodiclofen, acetochlor, pyridaben, tetradiazine and other acaricides.
5. Control of meloidogyne
Abamectin·Fosthiazate is the most classic and excellent formulation for controlling meloidogyne. Avermectin has a good control effect on meloidogyne in soil. Its activity to plant nematodes is one level higher than that of organophosphorus and carbamate nematicides. Moreover, it has low toxicity and little pollution to soil, environment and agricultural products. Fosthiazate is a kind of organophosphorus nematicide with low toxicity, good quick effect, but easy to have resistance.
