Why is your effect of using pesticides not ideal?

Spring is coming. Dear farmer friends, are you ready for spring ploughing? Are you ready for high yield? No matter what you plant, you can never get around pesticides. Have you ever encountered this kind of situation both using pesticides to kill pests or prevent diseases, some people can get quick effect while others effect not ideal.

In view of this problem, you may have entered three minefields–select pesticide wrongly, use pesticide wrongly, and mix pesticides wrongly. There are many details which are easy to be ignored in these minefields. Come and see if you are?

Minefield 1 – wrong pesticides selection

To avoid choosing wrong pesticides, farmer friends need to pay attention to following items–identify authentic pesticides, pesticides rotation, and prescribing special for the disease!
1. Identify authentic pesticides
Buying fake pesticides or inferior pesticides, it’s certain to get bad effect and will cause big loss. Then is there any skill to buy genuine pesticides?
First of all, when purchasing pesticides we must see clearly about the label, certificate number, and date on the package. Try to buy brand pesticides produced by big manufacturers. And go to those agricultural materials stores with high reputation, technical knowledge and standardized operation.
2. Pesticides rotation
Good pesticide products should also be used in rotation. No matter what kind of crops, using pesticides relatively single or long term use of the same or several pesticides with the same characteristics will enhance the resistance of pests and reduce the control effect. Using alternative products or compound pesticides can effectively reduce the risk of drug resistance.
3. Buy pesticides according to symptoms
Some people like to follow when buying pesticides without checking if it’s the same pests or diseases. They just follow to buy what others buy, and change to another one or add other products if the effect is not good. As a result, pesticide and disease are not match. Neither prevent diseases or pests, nor delay the best period of prevention and control. And there will be drug harm.
So, learn more and see more, grow your own identify-eyes. First check the pests or diseases, then go to formal manufacturers or agricultural stores to choose products specifically!

Minefield 2 – Wrong using method

There is also a problem easy to be ignored–reasonable collocation of additives. The internal absorption, permeability and conductivity of pesticides have a great impact on its use. Reasonable collocation of additives is conducive to the effect of pesticides.
1. Mechanism of internal absorption
Pesticide is absorbed into plants through roots, stems, leaves and seeds, and dispersed and spread inside, so that they can retain for a certain period of time, or produce pesticide metabolites with stronger insecticidal activity. Pests die when they feed on medicinal plant tissue or sap.
2. Permeation mechanism
Pesticides penetrate through the surface layer (cuticle) of plants. The mechanism of penetration can be roughly divided into penetrating cuticle and penetrating stoma, and most of them are the first type.
When the pesticide is sprayed on the surface of crops or pests, the wax layer on the surface of crops and pests makes it difficult for the pesticide droplets to infiltrate and adhere, so the pesticide liquid is lost and the efficacy is greatly reduced. Therefore, the wettability and permeability of pesticide preparation after water dilution have a great influence on the efficacy. One of the ways to improve the efficacy is to use surfactants with good wetting and permeability.
The correct use of such additives can give full play to the efficacy of pesticides, not only improve the utilization efficiency of pesticides, but also reduce the pollution to the environment, resist the adverse weather conditions on the application, and improve the efficacy. For example, for cabbage, scallion and other waxy vegetables, liquid pesticide is easy to drain. Add silicone, orange peel essential oil, Bayer dichloride, etc. in the liquid, the effect is very good.
As the most widely registered pyrethroid insecticide, Bayer dipyridamole is easy to use and has excellent safety; at the same time, it can prevent and control big and small insects; it is economical and has a high input-output ratio; it has obvious synergistic effect when mixed with other insecticides; it has strong permeability and can quickly knock down pests!

Minefield 3 – Misapplication
It’s mainly the time and method of application.
1. Improper application time
Many growers are not used to using pesticides until diseases and pests are serious. For example, the best time to control Pieris rapae is to use pesticides before the second instar of the larvae, while some farmers only use pesticides when the Pieris rapae has grown into old age. At this time, the damage of Pieris rapae has affected the growth of plants and caused losses.

2. Wrong application method
Some growers worry that the control effect is not good, so they increase the dosage at will. They think that the larger the dosage and the more times they use it, the better control effect will be. This will not only cause excessive pesticide residues, but also enhance the resistance of diseases and insect pests. More importantly, it is very easy to cause pesticide damage.
In order to save labor, some people blindly mix all kinds of fungicides, insecticides, foliar fertilizer, plant growth regulators and so on. They think that the more pesticides are mixed, the better the control effect will be. As a result, crops get pesticides damage and farmers get loss.

Therefore, we must use pesticides according to the prescribed dosage, method, frequency and safety interval.
